Five Minute Friday

Just for fun, I’ve decided to try this Five Minute Friday. So the deal is to write for 5 minutes on the topic Lisa Jo gives…no editing, no thinking too much…etc…just write and link back to her site. So the topic this week: In Between

Today is an In Between, my oldest daughter, Sam, is turning the big 17. Where did the time go?

I did the awful “Mom” thing today and whipped out the pictures of when she was born…ugh! Wow…what were those two young kids with big hair and nerdy glasses (as my youngest daughter said about us in the picture) doing having children. We were young, inexperienced…and very excited! Excited to become parents and join the “grown up” world.

And now…the little girl born that day is making her own world…preparing for college, traveling to Bogota, and just becoming the most beautiful, young lady I know….all that in between time some how happened and now we keep moving forward into the new…

    I am following you to day from Five Minute Friday. Hope you enjoyed your first 5 minute exercise. You will get hooked. It is fun writing on the word with others; fun to meet others too.
    I am a grandma of 6 young ones. So there is a bigger in between now – so the pictures are even funnier.

    • Thanks! Yeah, as I was looking at the pics I noticed, not only our hairdo’s and clothes, but the background as well and thought…”Wow, we had “nothing” in terms of furniture, pics on the wall, etc….but they were fun times! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Friday!

  4. “all that in between time some how happened and now we keep moving forward into the new”…our daughter is almost 3, and I’m pretty sure that day for me will come fast enough where she will be off to make her own world. I’m going to soak up this in between as much as possible!! Thanks for stopping by my FMF post!
