You are missed…

Almost 2 weeks have passed since I wrote here last.

You might have thought I was all caught up in my hammock, relaxing and unwilling to leave the comforts of that easy swinging life….How I wish that was true instead of my reality.

My reality is… I came down with some awful virus which wiped me out for days.  I wasn’t even able to look at a computer screen because of the ache behind my eyes and the uneasiness in my belly.

I was on the road to recovery when I headed to NYC for a conference, then returned to my bed Thursday evening.  After a heavy sleep, I hit the amusement park rides all day on Friday as a chaperone for my daughter’s senior class trip.

So yesterday found me back in bed trying to recuperate.

And as I tell my family, “I don’t get sick often, but when I do… I do it really well.”

Hubby and the kids have been amazing.  They have held the fort down while balancing the schedule and keeping the house together… a true feat, indeed!

I just wanted to write and let you know I haven’t forgotten this space or left it behind.  In fact, I’ve missed it here and I miss you all as well.

Tomorrow starts a new week and hopefully a new start of strength.

I’m still resting, recovering and simply recuperating….I’m just stopping in here to say, “You are missed!  And we will chit-chat soon!”

  1. I feel for you, Rachel! My entire family was wiped out for nearly two weeks with viruses and strep and just yesterday we finally entered into the world of the non-contagious. 🙂 Glad you are on the up and up! Feel better.

    • Thanks, Abby! Thankfully only my hubby was sick and he didn’t get it as bad as me. I quarantined myself to my bed. Yes, the virus going around here just wipes people out! I’m feeling much better today. My plan today is reading, sleeping and some writing. I couldn’t even put two thoughts together when I was sick. I missed two confetti Fridays! Bummer…yet nothing to really report. Hopefully this Friday I will have a bucketful to throw! 🙂

Glad your family is better! 🙂
