In the Middle of an “ugh” Moment, He Meets Us

I meet the morning with an “ugh.” Disappointment from the night before hangs in the air and I don’t want to meet the day.

Rolling back the covers, my feet swing to the floor.  It’s the first step of the morning.

It’s one of those days I want to curl back down and hide from the world. But the clock and agenda pull me from my comfort. And I begin the routine.

Yet as I watch the morning overcome the night the Light sheds a new perspective.

What was misunderstood and seen with foggy eyes, His Light reveals what is true and right.

Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable— if anything is excellent or praiseworthy— think about such things! ~ Philippians 4:8

With my focus and attention on what is right and what is true, there is nothing in this day He cannot help me through.

When my strength and will are weak, His Presence reminds me He is near.

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life. Look at the birds…they do not sow or reap or store away in barns and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? So do not worry… but seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness… do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. ~ Matthew 6:25-34

For us, friend, there is nothing we meet today that He will not see us through because He is with us.

  1. Rachel, Yes that’s the difference between those who live a victorious life and those who struggle. Both have dark clouds now and then but one pushes to look beyond that to the truth. It’s a new day. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Keep focused on the light! His light

There are many days when it feels a huge effort just to surface, but this is a lovely reminder of Who is with us as we seek to slip out of bed and begin the day somehow. 🙂
