At the beginning of this year God whispered, “Trust” and I knew from that point on this would be a doozie of a year. You don’t get a word like that and think it’s going to be an easy ride.
From unforeseen storms to staff transitions, God has been walking me through step by step, situation through situation.
I’ve shed many tears with questions pondered and sorted through…. yet through it all, He stays faithful.
I’m reminded over and over…. He’s trustworthy. He’s reliable.
It’s been a year of dependency. I’m leaning into His grace and finding it again and again to be enough.
That’s the thing…. He never promises ease or smooth traveling but instead He promises that in our journey’s travel He will sustain and He will bring us through.
When my spirit grows faint within me, it is You who watch over my way. ~ Psalm 142:3
Through the trials, through the hard times, through transitions and grief, as I lean in, I find strength. I find wisdom and I find the ground beneath me to be firm and trustworthy. He is my Trust.
This life of grace is not about doing enough or getting it right all the time. That’s a measurement too high to obtain.
Instead, we walk in the fullness of His grace knowing that He is with us each step of the way… even in our ungraceful, imperfect moments… in our moments of weariness and weak faith, He is enough. He gets us through.
Though we walk in the midst of trouble, He preserves our life… with His right hand He saves us… and His love endures forever. (Psalm 138:7)
No matter the road you travel… He is with you.
- In your weakness… He is strength.
- In your sorrow… He grieves.
- In your laughter… He laughs.
- You are never alone… He is with you.
He is reliable. He is your Trust.

God is so trustworthy. He has helped me through some very rough times with my family. And through that I’ve learned to remember these 3 things. He has a plan. He knows what He’s doing. He’s not taken by surprise by anything that happens.
While I may still have to struggle and I may not understand exactly why these things happen, it soothes my soul to know He’s in control and I can trust Him to bring me through it.

So much of this post speaks of emotions I am currently going through. I am so thankful that even though I cannot understand, He is always faithful.
