It’s Time to Begin Again

Greetings friends,

It’s been over 3 months since posting here. You might be wondering what I’ve been doing.

Well…. time has been full of renovating our church campus, scrapping wallpaper from the ’80’s, organizing spaces, beginning a new ministry position and getting our son married off. So it’s been a bit busy!

It’s crazy to scroll through the pictures of the last 6 months and view the events, snapshots and highlights. Each picture holds hours of work and loads of memories.

Looking back, it’s only been a month since the wedding but it seems like a lifetime ago. Isn’t it strange how our mind plays tricks on us?

Our adult kids are back to their lives while Dave, Matt and I are settling into our new normal.

We’re readjusting our eating and cooking habits so loads of leftovers don’t hide out in the fridge. Dave even commented today how the lower grocery bill feels like a pay raise. We’re rearranging furniture, cleaning out and settling into a new schedule and slower pace.

I wouldn’t say we’re old fuddy-duddies because Matt and ministry keep us busy but my bed time pretty much mirrors Matt’s and the quiet days at home fit me just fine.

My journal and planner have been holding my thoughts over these months so there’s content to share with you as I return to writing and connecting here!

It’s time to begin again!

  2. So great to see your crafted words in my inbox again! The look of joy at those 2 large pieces of wallpaper that came off at once!!! Sweet victory!

Beginnings…scary and exciting. Isn’t life itself a paradox? The God-given call and the inner doubt. The sizeable renovation and the timetable. The new and the old. The blessings and the stresses. The two sides of the same coin, and God is there on both sides! Rachel, you are the living personification of Colossians 3:23, “Whatver you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…” and those around you are blessed.

New ventures and changes to existing ventures…here’s to new beginnings and new blessings! “Behold, I am doing a new thing…” Isaiah 43:19a

    Much love,
    Tina

PS: Your growing family is so beautiful! I love that picture!
