You are seen. You are loved.

This last weekend I had the honor of hosting Women of Faith LOVED Simulcast tour and this is what I was reminded of the whole way through.

You are seen!  You are not invisible to God.  You are loved.

In our crowded lives of busy schedules and hectic days, we are not unseen,  we are not forgotten.

This weekend was filled with new friends and renewed relationships from different denominations, backgrounds and generations.  Yet this constant thread was woven throughout conversations, songs and speakers:  “You are loved.”  There is nothing that is able to separate us from the love of God.  He surrounds. He is before and behind. He walks beside and leads us forward.

We are not alone in this journey.

These kinds of weekends remind us we do not live this life isolated but He strategically and purposefully uses all situations, people and circumstances to shape, mold and help us become more like Him through living our days and leaning into grace.

We were never meant to travel these life roads alone.  But many times, our own words, insecurities and fears build up around us and keep us from the love He has placed in our pathway.

Even in our imperfect and not so grace-filled moments He still loves us.  We are never too far from Him and He invites us to walk in the path He has laid out before us.

One of my favorite moments of the whole weekend was when sweet Luci Swindoll spoke these simple words:  “Don’t wait to live your life.  Take that next step He leads you in and then the next, and then the next.” Each step leads us closer to Him and His purpose.  When we live His purpose, we are living well, we are living fulfilled and we are living LOVED.

Today, don’t wait for the whole plan to be laid out before you.  Don’t wait until you have it all figured out because you never will.  There will always be twists and turns that we can’t see and there are always events and circumstances that will take us by surprise.

Yet I am continually learning and seeing that it’s not in knowing all the steps but it’s in knowing the One who lays out those steps.  It’s in trusting the One who walks with us.

When we are faithful with the next step…. that one right in front of us…that one He is asking us to step out and take… It’s in taking that next step that begins to knock down that fear of uncertainty.  When we find that step to be firm, it grants us confidence to take the next step and then the next.

God has good plans for us and when we trust Him in the small steps, He reveals the next step.

The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him; though we may stumble, we will not fall, for the Lord upholds us with His hand. ~ Psalm 37:23-24

We can’t see our complete path but we can see the next step right in front of us.  So let’s take that step and keep moving forward as He shows the next and then the next and then the next after that.

Don’t wait to live your life but live it now and watch Him do amazing things.

  • What keeps you from experiencing God’s love for you?
  • What next step has He laid out before you?
  • What’s keeping you from taking that step?
  • How can we pray for you?

  1. Every since I began a personal relationship with God when I was 14, I have known that I am loved and that has given me courage and hope no matter what. Of course, I sometimes fail to connect the ‘I am loved’ to the ‘I can do anything through Christ’–because I’m an introvert and most of the time I do quite well on my own (or so I think!). I’m slowly learning to share my journey with others.
